Translation terms discussion

(will edit this post to add in new conflicting terms)

There have been few instances of inconsistent terms being used in the MS translation, would like to start the discussion on what are the proper terms to use.

Please provide reference if available.

* denotes the current term most widely used on existing translation

e.g.
posts (n) - kiriman, tampalan, pos, serahan, terbitan*
aggregator (n) - pengagregat , agregator*
navigation (n) - navigasi, pandu arah*
item (n) - item, butiran*

Recommendations

For posts, I would say terbitan, as pos, while closest to its English word, is not commonly in use.

For aggregator, i would vote for pengagregat. Agregator is too easy an excuse for importing a word into the Malay dictionary. See: http://prpm.dbp.gov.my/carian.aspx?cari=aggregate&e=3 which I scoured the equivalent for the root of the word (agregat)

Navigation? Navigasi for a clearer view; since in context, it is most often referred to the navigation bar used in website: http://prpm.dbp.gov.my/carian.aspx?cari=navigation%20bar&domain=PRPM

Whereas Item, well... i'm on a mix here. I would vote for item for its simplicity, but butiran would be more accurate as it is used in three instances for the word in the computer lingo: http://prpm.dbp.gov.my/carian.aspx?cari=item&domain=PRPM

Post

Well, I might want to retract my recommendation for Post as I have encountered this in the nodes .po file: Publish Post Which would translate to Terbitkan terbitan. Not exactly nice. I'll leave it to you guys's suggestion.

"Publish post" = "Terbitkan

"Publish post" = "Terbitkan terbitan"
sounds natural and correct to me =)

for posts I think 'pos' and

for posts I think 'pos' and 'terbitan' are the clearest, however 'pos' may be confused with mail 'pos', 'kiriman'.

navigation - navigasi, pandu arah*
IMO, these are interchangable, perhaps we should just stick with one. Not sure which are more common.
