how much admins and superadmins do we really need for drupal.my? the site dont even well established yet. does msia drupal group members reached 1000's ? until the time come, we'll discuss again about suepradmin/admin role, or when the need arrised.
I think the 6 of us will do just fine. let the 6 of us be the only admins.
My main worry is that we'd have too many people working on the site at the same time, causing confusion. I've added a who's online block on the right, just in case. Any drastic or major changes ought to be at least documented here in the group somewhere before doing it. Best if at least one or two of us give the thumbs up.
At any rate, I'd make sure I'm signed on to gtalk (ang.chin.han@gmail.com) and irc #drupal-my on freenode when I'm working on drupal.my. I'm not familiar with many of the modules in drupal.my and dare not touch too much in case I break anything.
http://www.mibbit.com/ has been suggested to me as a webbased workaround for irc if it's been blocked. I don't use it myself.
As for the superadmin, etc. The way I see it is that the role should be passed around to others later, on rotation. Ideally, we'd have new people able to take over admining of the site (from me, at least, me lazy) after some time. In the meantime, our job would be to make sure that we can train up more people to do this job.
That's fine with me. we can simply rename admin to superadmin and create a new role later, should we need one.
Like in any project, we'll have to look into those matrix of permission later on.
Please don't assign other people as "admin" for now. Even 6 of us -- we might 'degrade" your privelege if the "committee" agreed. We'll have a committee or some kind :-)
superadmin & admin
